SUNLIGHT INTERIOR

Inspired by the paintings of Edward Hopper, CFA’s Yo-ELCassell’s movement theater piece Sunlight Interior finds characters struggling to embrace their inner light. Cassell draws from Hopper, painter Rene Magritte, the movie Wings of Desire, and even a Harry Chapin song to answer the questions, What if we had the chance to embrace our passions, vulnerabilities, and desires? What would happen when we actually step into the “light” to embody a life that seems so attainable yet inaccessible?
